Setting Up Your PayPal Account

Paypal is a totally secure way to pay online with either your bank account or credit card-- it is the most commonly accepted method of payment on the internet. If you already have an account you need to make sure it is a Individual Premium account -- if not, you will need to upgrade at no cost. Obviously, you don't need to use it to make purchases if you don't want to -- we are only interested in making collections with our account.

If you don't have an account go to http://www.paypal.com and click on the sign up link on the top of the page. Next you will want to choose to create an Individual Premium account which allows you to accept payments. You will then input some information and choose how you would like to pay (bank account or credit card) if you do purchase something on the internet.

Once you have set up your account go to http://www.paypal.com again and log in. You screen will look like this and you will choose Merchant Services:

You will now be on a screen that looks like the one below. Click on the "Buy Now" Button.

You will now be on the page where you will create you button and it will look like the one below. At arrow 1 choose "Buy Now". At arrows 2 and 3 input the title of the report and the price you are going to charge. At arrow 4 leave the choice at "use secure merchant" account. Finally at arrow 5 choose to go to the Advanced Tab.

You are now on the advanced page which looks like the one below. Answer the questions as shown below and then you come to the two URL inputs. The first input (arrow1) is where paypal is to send them if they cancel their purchase while they are here at Paypal. This is an optional input -- All of the Niche Business Packages have a Sorry page to use when your prospect cancels and it is called sorry.html. If you want to use it check the box and insert in your URL. In the example below my domain name is planningawedding101.com -- your URL will look similar but with your domain name: http://www.YourDomainName.com/sorry.html

A note on the URL inputs. You must include the http://www. in the reference. You will probably notice in the example below I did not put in the www. -- I probaly should not have done that because that is confusing but in the tutorial on setting up your domain I mentioned that I checked a box that allowed me to do it either way -- with or without the www. -- but the result is the same.

Arrow 2 shows where you input the URL you want the customer directed after they make their payment. This is an important link so you must check the box and insert your URL. The URL that you submit will depend on how your are marketing your Niche Package -- see Important Note for instructions.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ARROW 2 BELOW

If you are just marketing the ebook on your own website you may want them to go directly to the ebook to download. In that case you would use the following link at Arrow 2:

http://www.YourDomainName.com/ebook.pdf

If however you have downloaded our sales website you will want to send them to our Thank You page which in turn will send them to our download page where they can choose to download just the ebook or the whole business package. In this case your will put the following URL in the space by Arrow 2:

http://www.YourDomainName.com/thankyou.html

You have now input all of the information required so go to the bottom of the page and click on the "Create Button" link.

You will now be on a page like the one below which provides you with the code you will need to input into your marketing material. There are two options here -- WEBSITE AND EMAIL. The first is shown in the picture below and you use this one when you want to include the picture of the Paypal order button (Arrow 1). This is the code you will insert into your order page (order-page.html) if you set up a total website. If you are just using our sales tools the EMAIL one line of code will go on your sales page (sales-page.html).

To use this just click on the Select Code button (Arrow 2) and the code will turn blue as shown on the screen. Follow the instructions above to Copy it (I like to use the right click command to select COPY) and then go to the source code for your website and right click and select PASTE to insert it into your code. Proceed to the next picture to see the EMAIL code.

The second set of code is obtained by selecting the EMAIL button as shown by the arrow below. Now you get a single line of code with a domain reference. This is what you insert into your "a" command if you are using a text link or your own image link. The line of code would actually go between " " in the href= "paypal code".

That's it. Your account is set up.
