Acquiring Free Support Software
There are a few programs that anyone that is serious about internet marketing must have. We are
going to show you how to get them at no cost on this page.
Acquiring Adobe Reader
All of your marketing reports and most of your e-books are going to be in Adobe .pdf
format. You will need an Adobe Reader to open and read the files although you can not
make modifications to the file.
Anybody that does any research on the internet should have a copy of this software because
it is by far the most common form for delivering digital formatted product.

Acquiring an FTP Program
This is the program that you will upload and download programs from your computer to the
server that you choose to host your website. I recommend the same one I use just
because I know it is reliable and very easy to use and is free.

You will see two buttons (see picture below). Choose "Filezilla Client" button and follow
instructions (see following picture).
Choose appropriate download for your computer. Window users will usually choose the one
with the red arrow.
Acquiring a Zip Program
This is a program that you will use both to unzip folders you receive from an outside source
or zip files on your computer to send to someone else. The one I recommend is the one I
use and it is both reliable and free.
It is called jzip and you can download it here
The screen will look like the one below. Just click on the "Download" button indicated
by the red arrow and follow instructions. It will only take a couple of minutes.
Acquiring Notepad ++
You will often need to modify HTML source code files with a text editor. With Microsoft you can use notepad which is available
in the "Accessories" tab in your program listings. However, a more powerful, and free, text editor is Notepad++. This is strictly
optional but if you want to download it you can do it at the following link. Note: it will ask you if you want it to be your
default text editor -- say "yes".
Your screen will have the menu shown below. Click on the "download" button and now the screen will show the schedule below.
Click on the choice indicated by the red arrow.
